Fred its not just world markets open after hours, the Pacific Exchange in San Fransico is open 30 minutes to an hour after the close of NYSE and NASDAQ.

It is unrealistic to make the world conform to these to markets, it may be more wise to have the NYSE and NASDAQ conform to the world... open 18 hours a day as opposed to their current operations.
