Any thinks that market swings harder since many play options in a very big way? I know a lady who plays stock by watching TV only, 2 mos. ago she won 1.5M in Dell but too greedy then sold at bottom and lost a couple hundred thousands eventually. Now she took a very big mortgage for a big plunge! Another engineering friend who plays stocks in 8 mos. now only play options, he reasoned w/ me that he has 60K in options for about 200 contracts. If each stock gives him 50 cents a week he can make 10K a week.

Actually Bill I wasn't giving any advice.

Just pointing out that there is an alternative to shorting, namely selling calls. Whether someone wants to go short on a particular stock, that is entirely up to them.

BTW are you saying that it is bullish when you can't find shares to short? What is your reasoning for this? Just curious.
