I think the rules about what a company can say have tightened up recently. Companies are almost restricted to announcing core length and lab analysis results with regard to their findings. There may be other reasons to keep it quiet until they are absolutely sure--some legitimate and others perhaps questionable. Maybe some JV agreements need to be firmed up with some of the SVB crowd. One thing is for sure, when they announce some significant positive results a lot of these stocks are going to explode exponentially.
I do not know the fine details of all the agreements. If they are getting some good results, they will have to make some major decisions about how to proceed this fall. I know the Major and LAB/PLM/GBR will be screaming for some holes this fall. Apparently very promising targets have been identified on these properties. There may have been some consensus about letting things sit due to the INCO-Tobin stalemate, poor nickel prices and the economy threatening to crash a few weeks ago. Sentiments can change quickly. The economy is looking better, nickel prices are up, and targets showing promise may get the whole show re-energized.
The fact that the drill rig has stayed on NAI and is producing cores which are reportedly being sent to the lab are a good indication for me. A great deal of money and the latest technology has been used to nail down the specific targets on a vast area of promising geology. Every hole drilled and every test done should give a better understanding of what is under the ground. And I don't think that the stock prices are vibrating for nothing.
Everyone is just waiting for the big PR--X meters of massive sulfides intersected with %XX.X nickel reported from lab.
