The Big Pharma Report: November 7, 1998 Have PFun! BigKNY3 _________________________________________ Big Pharma Review - Big Pharma (+2.7%) attained its all-time high on Friday (82.95). Lifetime highs were reached for 6 of the 13 Big Pharmas; PNU, ABT, AMGN, LLY, MRK and SGP. -This week's big winners were LLY (+7.9%), MRK (+7.3%), and AHP (+6.3%). -Closing with an upbeat R&D analyst meeting, PFE showed gains (+1.5%) but trailed the Dow (+4.5%) and Big Pharma. -YTD, Big Pharma (+39.1%) is clearly outpacing all major general markets. Every Big Pharma is over 18%...each one beating the Dow, S&P and NASTie - In the YTD race, SGP (+72.6%) is once again making a run at WLA (+82.1%).
