Eric, You and I agree 100%. Some will make the case that Cisco is now attempting to match up against the big boys and that because of this Cisco will lose. A few points that many don't realize is that: 1. The playing field is packet - Cisco's turf. 2. Telecom manufacturers vendors don't have this core compentency 3. They will have to acquire it. 4. There will be attrition at these acquisitions because of this 5. Big iron companies are slow to change and Cisco already has a lead 6. Margins in packet networks can not be compared to circuit networks 7. Convergence to data/voice on packet is just begining 8. Internet is still very young 9. The wired home will happen...still more growth 10.Cable companies are joining the race and there's a war with the RBOC's 11.All this fuels more growth 12.Internationally deregulation is just getting started 13.I can go on and on, but 13 seems like a good place to stop. In all CISCO is well positioned to take advantage of the changes happening in the infrastructure. This "Commuincations Revolution" is every bit as signficant as the "Industrial Revolution" and we have ten's of years for this to play out before Cisco see's weakness. There is no way CSCO is fully valued. OG
