Yes, he spoke highly of the stability of Linux. He was amazed at how quickly it compiled code. (He made me watch!!!)

By contrast, as a consumer, he believes MSFT's products are inferior. He thinks Windows 95 is a disaster. He hears from others that MSFT has lost respect among many of its former supporters because the company puts inferior products on the market.

One example is the MSFT split keyboard that we use on our home PC. I had to buy one because of wrist problems. In less than 10 months, the letters on the keys began to rub off. Now the keys that support the letters, N and M are bare.

We have had a few computers for home use. This is the first time that I've ever had a keyboard where the letters of the alphabet disappeared.

I believe this has been posted here before, but anyone who thinks that MS is not afraid of Linux go here:
