Well, the IBD article says there first product would be a stem cell testing kit which would allow drugs to be tested on human cells before going to market. It seems logical that it could be used instead of animal testing (Which is the current method) for all cosmetic and soap products for mandatory FDA approval.

That puts the government in this equation. If its a better mouse trap. The government may mandate it be used.

Also, PETA would endorse and maybe lobby for its use. Do you remember the lady from PETA who shoved a pie in the face of the president of P&G at a banquet?
