Thank you for staying with us Tim. I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I lost mine several years ago ... but I miss him daily. The good news is that I carry him inside my heart at all times, and sometimes it is that extra bit that gets me through a really bad time.

My best wishes go out to you and I am practically a neighbor. Should you need anything, feel free to give a shout. If you wish, I will PM you with my phone #.

Tim,

Steve Goldman & I want to announce a series of weekly tutorials on technical analysis & trading I'm writing for Yamner's free newsletter.

To subscribe to the newsletter: send email to tdesk@yamner.com with words SUBSCRIBE in subject. The Yamner University resource area (http://www.yamner.com) also has an archive of tutorials.

Although my site The Hard Right Edge (http://www.hardrightedge.com) has developed a commercial interface, I'm committed to providing a broad range of free system and technical resources for traders. HRE has no direct broker or vendor affiliations but works with many sites to provide educational material for traders, with an emphasis on multi-trend technical analysis.

Technical analysis is a time frame independent tool that benefits the whole range of market participants, from 5-min scalpers all the way up to mega-bull mutual fund holders.

Well, I got hammered on Thursday but made up for it on Friday, one of the other guys where I work noticed INKT at its annual high and I managed to jump on long at 95. Got several good shorts off on GERN too.

It's funny, 6 weeks ago the market "was going to tank" and now it's "headed for the moon". We'll see on Monday, I think the DOW will close above 9000 and go up from there. I'm shorting the market at that point, I think it will come back down fast. The only stocks that will not suffer badly IMHO are regional banks, securities dealers (like your favorite) and the oil service sector, particularly the deep water drillers. Most of the techs will be great shorts after fast runups next week, IMHO. I look for some great 2-3 day long plays on Monday but I'll watch the DOW and won't risk much money on a down close from the prior day if I'm long. This week should be an easy money maker. GERN will be a great short off of any strength. I think it will go straight back down to 9 bucks or less. This is a very low risk short, IMHO. Have a great week, buddy.
