Elaine -

Wow. Thanks for pointing out that there are actually computers without Zip. We never would have known.

But guess what? Tangent offers both Iomega Jaz and Zip as options.

Gateway has offered Zip as an option for a long time now, and they report it is their best-selling peripheral add-on. CD-RW serves one purpose, and Zip serves another. The presence of one doesn't eliminate the need for the other.

Get a grip, Elaine.

I just received the latest Dell catalog on Friday.

Five out of seven desktop models have built-in Zip drives, and the other two models list the Zip drive as an option. Moreover, Dell touts an internal Zip drive as an option for one of their new laptops. Unfortunately, Dell is no match for Tangent is it? ;-)
