Nemer - welcome!! But why post such a terrific post over on the "futures trading" thread? I have taken the liberty of copying part of your post over here as your BucksBoy call was terrific.here is the bet of the day ..... I'm not too far down, even with the missed and poorly bet last turf ...... pay close attention, now ...... 9th at mile and a half on turf ..... Buck's Boy will win ....... easily ..... the correct placement of the place and show could/will make money ... live horses ..... ---- Bonapartiste #5 --- Sunshine Street #11 and Yagli #14 ---- here is what I think ....... $ 50 to win on the Buckster, #2 Buck # 2 on top of .... wheel with ....... 5, 11 and 14 for the exacta wheel with ....... 5, 11, and 14 for 2nd and 3rd in the Tri with 11 for second with the rest of the field for 3rd in the Tri another group of bets 2 on top with 5 and 11 second for an exacta 2 on top --- with 11 second ---- with 5 and 14 for third .... on the Tri 2 on top ---- with 5, 11 and 14 for second and the field for third --- on the Tri now to show how much I'm depending on the Buckster .... wheel 2 with all for an exacta ....... Yes, that was some run by HH. When I looked at him in the post parade I was struck by his ranginess. I had the flash thought - Seattle Slew? DaHoss showed so much heart. Extended Applause in the Juv. Fillies (didnt win, but....) showed a LOT of heart too. Watching the PP, I looked at the hip on SilverBulletDay and thought WOW! Now there's a horse that's built to run...if she has the heart. She was so funny, looking around at the crowd! So many upsets. What a run by Reraise in the 6th. I am always impressed by wire-to-wire runs. Must be the Q.Horse in me <gg> What does anyone think - was it really the ground breaking away from Royal Anthem that was the problem? There is always part of me that wants the "big boys" to win yet again and make history so, while I was thrilled for Awesome Again and old Pat Day, I was sorry for the fine fine animals, Gentleman and Skip and even Silver Charm tho I never have related as much to that horse. It was a great victory for Byrne. The Skipper looked so regal, so much as if he expected to win. Seemed in fine shape. Oh wellll. Favorite Trick had no excuses - turf, mile - he's just a different horse now. I loved listening to Dickenson talk, that English way of being <g> Where was Mandella? Woulda thot Hubbard mighta let Mandella have a bit of camera time, and who was the woman, a partner? Wasnt his wife! Actually I am about the only owner/trainer on here. Poet is quite a handicapper and so is Don Boller. Lefty is on the owner side, just joined. Cant wait for poet's write up. Did Gentleman just give up?
