Thanks for your response. I would have more faith in the explanation IF the techs and CYMER would have seen a bottom and stayed there and then we saw a gradual rise. Then I would saw that smart money sees a turnaround in 6 months and is investing. But we saw panic selling, a huge drop, and a subsequent huge rise in CYMER. My guess is that 10-12 was the true bottom for CYMER and that the dip to 6 was a result of true panic selling and tax selling. Take out the panic selling, and we have a gradual price decay to 10-12.

I guess what I am trying to say is I don't see a continuing uptrend due to better future performance in the sector, but rather we will sit at these levels for a while until the "smart money" truly sees a improvement coming in the sector.
