"an execution system that will get me in/out at the market in an instant - every single time"

Such a system does not exist, IMO. At least I have yet to find one, and I do have a RTIII account, in addition to several others. And I have tried many more. Good luck on your quest, and please let me know if you do find that holy grail.

Yes the GERN was fun,

Much of execution is dependent upon skill of the trader...
all the time is a tough statement, I actually get excellent fills in schwab, as they make their money on commission not on spreads. More an issue of navigations, human computer interface, confirmations and no HTML, for the data to paint the HTML also clogs the pipeline. All of these things slow the trader down. With RealTick, KillKey etc, it is literally point and Click, function key execution, moving only data accross the network, not pretty pictures.

MBT etc.. provides you the opportunity to exit prior to the market, in the GERN case exiting pre market could have been very profitable, as trades were goingoff in the 27-29 range,

the 20 minutes you mentioned is ridiculous, I got filled at 20 1/2 on Schwab, and although the confirmation took 7 minutes, I executed at 09:31. I am moving all my profits on this to MBT, have enough now for a decent margin ;)

In the mean time, you might consider entering limit sell below the bid sometimes, see if that helps, I know some Datek users do this in the Mtrader room, and claim success. This would not have been wise to do on GERN, or any opening as you would not really know what is below the bid cause of the opening and quote delay.

good luck
