You know, I'm laughing so hard I can't think of the next direction for all this... but can you imagine the nostalgia for the formica topped table furnishings and the eventual clammer for cuisine americaine (du nords of course) something way beyond Ed Debevic's wildest commercial dreams! Martin or (Marvin?) Sexton softly singing 'the American' over the sound system... Micro beers in abundance....eeyuk gentrification up the kazoo the ultimate upper bound on taste! Ah los anos cinquenta, eh viva, eh viva! Yes, I can see it now, stylish little plates with squares of apple crisp on pizzelle garnished with a qumquat and art photos of lemon meringue pie... perhaps, spam on sculpted squares of polenta with trendrils of chervil as an amuse-bouche.... Where is that jar of peanut butter? nh
