I might also suggest the Berkshire Hathaway fund. It has gone from
15$ per share in 1966 to 67,000 recently, so it probably has beat most funds.

There are no custodial fees. Management even donates to charities that you desire in your name, you get the tax benefit, but you don't pay the money. Weird, huh.
