Nam,

If I knew the answers to all your questions, I'd be a genius. Here goes...

<<Has anyone wondered why the shareholders have such limited knowledge of the developments at Ancor?>>

NDA. After the INRANGE announcement, I'm giving Ancor management a LOT more latitude under NDA than I used to.

<<What is the status of the lawsuit?>>

Unknown.

<<What are the financing plans for '99 and beyond?>>

I don't know the answer to this one for sure, but the larger the overall Fibre Channel market gets, the better the chances for an INRANGE type financing deal, or an outright OEM deal. A couple of OEM deals, and Ancor could walk into a bank and get financing.

<<How is the new switch being viewed by the prospects?>>

Based on what I see in the specs and its competitive price, I have a hunch they are drooling over it.

<<Why did Ancor need a poison pill? I thought they already had one?>>

Because they were afraid of getting taken over for $50 million dollars, and they thought they were worth more than that.

<<Is the Inrange deal solid?>>

If INRANGE was willing to give Ancor $7 Million dollars up front, with another $2 Million in royalties, in exchange for a five year commitment, it seems solid to me.

<<Whatever happened to Sun? I thought they were going with Brocade--seems no announcement there.???>>

I have no idea, although with Sun's recent internal turmoil, it wouldn't surprise me to see them change their mind several times.

<<What is Ancors capacity to produce?>>

I don't think Ancor's ability to produce switches in large numbers has ever really been questioned.

<<With the employee options and mgmt options at higher levels can the shareholders interests truly be represented should a reasonable offer come about?>>

I'm no expert on options, but the fact that NONE of the insiders have SOLD anything, and in fact keep buying, tells me that they think the company is undervalued.

<<What is the timetable of the major oem prospects?>>

Unknown. Many of us thought that we would see OEM announcements in the first half of 1998, with volume shipments beginning in the second half of 1998. That looks to be pushed out to seeing announcements very late in 1998 to early 1999, with volume shipments hopefully beginning in mid to late 1999.

<<Who is doing all the buying....( we seem to know who the sellers are)..???>>

Correction. We seem to know who the sellers WERE. The selling appears to have abated.I believe that the buyers are those investors who are beginning to see the start of the Fibre Channel market finally picking up steam.

<<Whats your vision Craig?>>

My vision is that Fibre Channel will become a pervasive part of enterprise computing in a much shorter time than most people predict. I also believe that SAN adoption will grow rapidly over the next few years, even in non-enterprise applications, as people realize the benefits that a SAN can provide. Ancor's new low-cost 8-port switch simply opens up a whole new market at the high volume end of the spectrum. The MKII-8, MKII-16, and products developed for INRANGE would seem to give Ancor a pretty comprehensive lineup of Fibre Channel products.

My vision also tells me that this is the year of Viking Purple. <g>
