7 Reasons Why Dell Will Soar This Week
by: zello (from the Yahoo Finance DELL discussion board):

1. I have seen many posts referring to Dell's low volume of late and that people are seeing that as
weakness. Despite a low volume Dell's share price has been steadily increasing since it took a hard fall
with the market a couple of weeks ago. This signifies strength.

2. Dell was one of the last stocks to fall during the recent decline in the market and first to climb back
near it's highs once again signifying strength.

3. They have said several times during the market's decline that sales and demand have been strong everywhere --including Asia.

4. It has been reported that sales in Europe are up over 87% over the same quarter last year.

5. Dell is the number one shorted stock on the NAS right now.

6. We should see a short squeeze this week. Whether or not the stock has a pre-earnings run Dell will
more than likely blow away estimates as they have done in the past. Friday several wise analysts will
probably upgrade Dell or initiate coverage with a strong buy. Buyers will step in, volume will be huge,
the shorts will panic and cover, and the stock will soar.

7. Check out the following stock screens fool.com.
Dell is either ranked 1-4 (mostly one) on virtually every list. There strength, business model, and ability
to make large profits for their investors is unparalleled.

Mohan,

I do not think the ga-ga analysts are responsible for the wild swings in tech stock prices. The world economic events have scared a lot of people into overreaction. The hedge funds have exacerbated the problem.

Of course, the unscrupulous have yelled fire in a crowded stock and bond rooms after buying their puts, selling their calls or going short.

This is what makes the market interesting.....
