Maybe BA's rollout with CAP ADSL will be larger than expected. Maybe the take will be much larger, forcing a bigger rollout of CAP ADSL. This would kind of make sense given the following…….. 1. DMT still won't be really ready for true mass deployment until a year from now. 2. RBOC's know they are going with the DMT issue 2 compliance standard and have to wait for other DMT venders to catch up. Maybe this is why they are shy of PAIR's falcon DMT chip set. So far it's the only "issue 2" available with no real history. Unlike CAP which is a mature product with thousands upon thousands already in the field. 3. BA is feeling the Cable CO's heating up and does not want to be too late to the market. Another year for the Cable CO's and they will really be far out in the lead. 4. BA and Westell have an excellent relationship and know Westell can deliver ADSL CAP….. NOW!!!! 5. And maybe the CAP product is so mature that they can actually make a few dollars of profit on it,…..what a concept. 6. I think BA was one of the smartest RBOC's to start with Westell's CAP then migrate to DMT when or if the chip set is ever done,……4 years of waiting for the DMT chip set, and we are still waiting. 7. Maybe MZ hinted to the analysts the above statements, and maybe things are starting to leak out. This is all my own opinion, and good luck to everyone.
