Paul,

Trading is an exchange of wealth. In order for someone to win, someone else has to lose. If there were only a few participants, perhaps an educational site could have some impact on that equation.

Considering the vast pool of traders, a new army of overachievers will hardly affect my trading bottom line. The failure rate will remain high even if thousands of excellent trainers comes along.

Good training levels the playing field for those who obtain it. But lack of knowledge probably isn't the reason most traders fail. It's the inability to deal with the psychological aspects of trading. And obviously that's not going to change through mine or anyone else's efforts.

<My best guess is you anticipate your on-line commentary efforts to become more profitable than your personal trading?>

This sounds like a bit of a flame as I don't see how one thing affects the other. Frankly, I believe the opposite is true. I perfect many of my trade setups by writing about them. Perhaps you don't know this but my original home page was called Day Traders Diary. There was a reason for the title.

I'd be glad to discuss my motivations if that's what you'd like but you shouldn't assume you understand me well enough to make a statement like that.

Alan
