Paul,

Jerry Sanders refuses to deploy devices that are superior to Intel's. He wants to insure that AMD never exceeds Intel's performance specs. Thus, he is having his engineers, marketing and sales people "sit" on these advanced processors

It makes perfect sense to me. The man has been obsessed with beating Intel for a decade, and now that he is in a position to do so, he is afraid of the great emptiness which would follow the fulfillment of his dream.

Or maybe the K6-3 isn't ready for production?
