SEEC Shares May Be Undervalued at About 6, Barron's Reports

I think we may see big jump in SEEC shares on Monday ...

Pittsburgh, Nov. 7 (Bloomberg) -- SEEC Inc. shares may be
undervalued at about 6, since the company is profitable and has
some big-name customers, according to an unidentified hedge-fund
manager, Barron's reported in its ''Up & Down Wall Street''
column. SEEC, which makes software that repairs mainframe
computers to allow them to identify dates in the Year 2000 and
beyond, has a book value of $5.50 a share, with no debt and $4.90
a share in cash. SEEC shares rose after it reported earnings of 6
cents a share in its most recent quarter, though the stock still
has the potential to rise as the company profits from computer
repairs needed because of the Year 2000 computer problems and
Europe's change to a common currency, the paper said.

Shares of Pittsburgh-based SEEC rose 1/4 to 5 7/8 yesterday,
down from its all-time high of 33 in September 1997.
