Clinton may sail right through the impeachment hearing, but there is no doubt in my mind that if the electorate was tired of MonicaGate (and who isn't? aren't we all sick to death of it? Is anyone, Dem or Repub, glad it happened? Are there any winners here? Not IMO), tired enough to vote in a few more Dems to "send a message to Republicans", then Clintoon is probably also near the end of his own political rope. It's not as if Clintoon's actions had nothing to do with Janet Reno sending Ken Starr in to enforce the law. Clintoon clearly will go down in history as a leader who threw away a respectable legacy over some cheap thrills. Most Americans would walk into the Oval Office with a sense of awe at being in the Chief Executive of the USA's working office. For Clintoon, this was not enough. He evidently spent his days dreaming of the next phonesex session with Monica. I'm still incredulous that he actually took at least two phone calls, and then unzipped. While many of Clintoon's supporters will want to shrug this off, and claim that the electorate does also, I think they are reading the electorate wrong. Clintoon has degraded the Office as no other President has ever done, and then lied his silly ass off to cover up his cheap antics with a silly girl. That is Clintoon's legacy. While some like Schuh reads these words and thinks I have a vitriolic hatred of Clinton, such a conclusion is ridiculous. I simply disapprove of Clintoon's high-school behavior, which he was obviously ashamed of enough to lie about. And he continues to lie to this day. Hyde is now making another effort to get some truthful statements out of Clintoon. If Clintoon chooses to disrespect Hyde with silly word games and refusals to answer yea or nea, then the House will have no choice but to approve an impeachment referral. Then it will be the Senate's ball game.
