JPR, I have no doubt that definitionally you are correct. I just doubt that any of this stuff means anything, and I believe the best way to make money using technical analysis is to write a book or sell software or offer advice through newsletters.

Jimleon on this thread challenged TAers to a test comparing TA to a buy and hold strategy. To my knowledge there were no takers.
