Trading ideas for Monday: three Internet stocks are near or over their 52-week highs with plenty of room to run: ELNK, NETG and DRIV. None are worth their current price on a value basis, but that hasn't stopped them running up this far. OZEMY is another one worth watching if it breaks over 15 again. PVN also at a 52-week high for anyone with the cash to chase it. Watch it closely, however, since it jumps pretty fast up and down. If anyone follows PSDI, I would appreciate some input on where it could go from here. Great earnings from an underperforming stock which now has a nasty gap in the chart. SEBL also on a tear. On the short side, ATEN is backing off its recent runup after reporting an enormous loss. It is still within the rough downward channel it has followed for several months. Looks like a pretty safe short at 8 with a target of 5 or less. WEBB is a struggling Internet company which doesn't seem to know where to focus their efforts. They do know how to sell stock for cash, which makes the share price very vulnerable. This could easily be a penny stock by next year. Watch out for the small float, though. APM and RMOC also looking very weak thanks to bad business in their respective sectors, massive losses and tax-loss selling. APM may float under 5 before it can be shorted, though, and the disk drive sector's supposed recovery could yank it up again. I am thinking about a long MXTR/short APM play for the DD sector in general. On the options side, I am selling my TLAB March calls on Monday since they reached my target price. TLAB could still make it to 70 before March but the March 55 calls are now worth around 10. The time premium will start to fade before the stock reaches 65. Plus I need the cash for another play which I will announce here on Tuesday if I can get my price. As always, these are just my ideas and everyone should do their own DD before investing.
