A couple of years ago I was cooking rib chops and I guess I didn't trim enough of the fat so the oven caught flames. I figured I'll be proactive and before it got bad I threw a glass of water at the flames. That made things worse, so flames were now coming out of the edges with lots of smoke, so I called downstairs to the concierge and asked for help. When I shared this on the TA thread I got lots of advice and some much needed cooking tips. I now know water isn't all that good for grease fires and I'm not very good in the kitchen :)
