Ted, I too use IDT's calling card for LD - am not prepared to switch my regular line to their service as yet coz. they don't have the reliabiliy - besides, I do a ton of international calling as well, and so prefer to stick with AT&T - believe it or not, they are rather competitive.

On the domestic LD front, IDT has pretty good rates - however, with the dial around services, the gap is declining rapidly. Also, AT&T is already offering a Net2Phone equivalent for 7.5 cents/min.

One thing you have to realize is that consumers don't care about the technology. Alls they care about is that they can make calls, speak clearly, and the cost is low. LD is a commodity. And IDT is in a commodity business - by the laws of economics, they are in a shrinking margin business. That does not mean the stock won't rise in the short term. But I can't see them being a viable long-term business.
