Aus, first off, you are rarely so redundant. However, being right twice is better than being wrong any number of times. Second, I am growing weary of the angst continually expressed in this thread about the Lexar issue. True, a court ruling that the SNDK technology is theirs alone would dispel worries of a laconic future. However, I do not think this pending suit, in which Sandisk is the accuser, not the defendant, has pared more than a fraction of a dollar off the price of the stock. What brought us from 40 to 5 was the cart getting ahead of the horse, and the CEO of the company pointing that out to god and the world. I think $40 was a little optimistic, maybe that "irrational exuberance" we heard about. I think $5, and for that matter, $12, is just as silly. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting another new use of SNDK cards, and the acceptance of digital cameras just took a little longer to arrive than those $30+ buyers had expected. But it is coming, or maybe it is here, as nothing in the Best Buy's and other such retailers shows anything but an acceleration in the marketing of Xmas presents in the form of filmless cameras. Your comments re the IBM announcement are irrefutable. It is kind of like saying that (younger people may not follow this our new transistor radio not only uses transistors, but some really small vacuum tubes! SNDK has the solid-state answer to recordable memory-hungry devices, and IBM has a nice toy that works fine until you drop it onto the parquet floor. I know a bunch of people were excited to see $12 on Friday, myself included. However, unless the market is asleep, $12 will seem quite cheap quite soon. The $40-days were simply ahead of their time, and that time is coming. In a flash. - Don
