um yas. I am using a mining terminology out of Dana where electrum is called that at 20% silver. Some British coinage contained copper, silver and nickel at varying percentages. At some fraction of silver-gold the material turns white. In assay inquarts the silver/gold dore bead is always white although the percentage silver is about 3.to 1.
