Yes, you are right, of course. I think my wording was a little extreme to make my point about valuation issues. Of course Luczo knows he is running a disk drive company.

But he certainly is a shareholder value guy. He must be thinking of ways to emphasize the software assets. He made a brilliant stroke, imo in the VRTS deal. What might be up his sleeve next, I don't know. But I feel sure that there is a lot of strategic thinking going on.

Another way to slice up the model that I was making is "Carve out the software assets and look how cheap SEG's DD business is". Perhaps intrepid investors will try to do this slicing with a combination of long seg short vrts, although that will only partly do the job.
