Try something like gonzongo's "scans which I update weekly- Bob, I use a scan called Prescan.lst that does essentially the same as yours. It is modified after a "gonzongo special". I filter for average volume for the past 50 days being greater than 50,000, a relative strength of 85% or greater, and a above average volitility. I make this prescan every Friday and then use it as the basis of other scans during the week. It is not worth the effort to run a separate scan just to get rid of the index files. One scan that I like a lot is based on the stock passing a StochRSI and MACD test. The one problem is that I do not get all that many hits. Thank you for your help. --- webb ---
