sev, thanks for your words...If you want to begin your quest as a technical trader, may I suggest your first book be 1)The Visual Trader by John Murphy.... I have read many TA books but this is the simplest starter book of all the TA books... Here are a few others 2)Technical Analysis of Futures Market by John Murphy 3)Trading For a Living by Elder 4)Technical Analysis Explained by Pring 5)The Compleat Day Trader by Bernstein 6)Technical Analysis of Stock Trends by Magee and Edwards(the classic) 7)Hit and Run Trading I and II by Cooper 8)Connors on Advanced Trading Strategies 9)Technical Analysis from A to Z by Achelis 10)Investment Secrets of a Hedge Fund Manager by Connors and Hayward These should get you started...To be the best, you need to have a passion, as Connors puts it, "Deliberate Practice is essential"....
