Maybe it's a reflection on my glazing over in Advanced Fin class, but I think we're concentrating a lot of attention on a transaction that will, ultimately, be smallish in the larger scheme of ECD. Earnings (or not) based on something other than continuing operations ought to be significantly discounted in anticipating the company's value, unless we'd be looking at the sale of a major portfolio of assets that would really alter ECD's income statement and balance sheet.

I'm somewhat more interested in what it takes to translate news into revenues and profits for the company. For instance, how much is jacq's story worth to ECD, for instance? Does the company get 1.5%/.5%/0% on all sales from this Starke facility? In my preferred scheme of things, these operations will dwarf capital gains transactions and eliminate the need to engage in them.
