Daniel,

I thought you were one of the guys who had signed up for MBT. I am not familiar with Dreyfus. If it is a Level 1 (slow) execution system, it has probably been good training. I used to trade on Datek. Switching to MBT was a HUGE adjustment but it made me a completely different trader. Faster, more informed.

So you lost 9/16 in a fast market. Lesson: if you are a beginner, do not trade fast markets. I guess this particular fast situation was maybe atypical and caught you off guard. But late on a Friday can do that to you. With MBT you'll be lightning fast--no typing necessary!
Does that sound good or what? But I suggest you pick safer times to trade and moderate paced stocks to practice executions on. SEEK might be a good practice stock right now. It has some pretty good action but not too volatile and no giant downdrafts likely.
