<<Where are the left-wing Rush Limbaughs? Nowhere...>>

A few have tried but couldn't attract a following. Cuomo tried but when you've got to listen to the liberal message beyond the 30 second ad, it loses you. I tried listening to Cuomo. It was a real comedy! The sad part is that I believe he really believes that stuff! Needless to say, he didn't stay on long!

Rush is popular because he sticks with his message and his message makes sense to a lot of people. I never have to really wonder how Rush is going to feel about almost any topic because I know his message is conservative - lower taxes, less government, stronger families and more personal responsibility. Simple....and he has a great sense of humor! We laugh alot, unlike the liberals. I expect the liberal answer to always be the government as the solution. If bigger government and more spending solved problems, we'd have no problems! JMO!

Do you know of any liberals that you think might be able to attract a following on radio like Rush has?

jbe, liberal talk radio shows have never been popular because most people are not liberal. It's as simple as that. And in radio arguments must stand up to immediate response. It's too easy to slice huge holes in liberal positions. Just look at what socialism has done to Europe over the last 50 years. Who wants that! The philosophy of the left is dying a slow but steady death around the world. Prosperity and hope are rising from it's ashes.

jbe - I, too like the term "flabby centrism." It has some interesting potential uses.

Regarding your consideration of the Times' editorial page, as well as your question about the newspapers that called for Clinton's resignation: The Op ed section of the paper is not the battleground - it services the people, much like ourselves, that have established views.

The liberalist endeavors in the rest of the "news" is what politicians like Clinton can rely on for subtle but consistent support. Where is the left's Rush Limbaugh? There is no one I can point to - but we both know there are thousands of story editors, assignment editors, producers, reporters and even copy editors that routinely help to shape public opinion.
