Sonki. Embratel and PM. Did PM come to mind when I kept writing PM as in private message? Thanks for that info. I will check it out. But we will have enough small cos. after Nov. 16th when all those little Telebras list on the NYSE. gg. I now remember why I got out of TBR a while ago. What a mess. I have been trying to sort through all of this and read up on lots of articles. I can now say that I am not much smarter. gg. The way I get it is that Embratel will trade under the old symbol of Telebras. Hence, TBR. It is trading currently under the symbol EBTP 4. Lots of luck if you want to get in before it is listed on NYSE as an ADR. Geeez, why did I buy that stock again. Embratel had been rumored to be the only ADR not being listed on the NYSE when the other little Telebras would list. It is supposedly the only ADR that will be under our Rules. So there was more headaches with sifting through all of the paperwork. But now I hear that this has been scrapped or was not even the case before. In any event, it will now be listed after all on Nov. 16th. Hm, let's hope so. What to do with all those little ADR's we will be getting? I DON'T KNOW. I think I posted to you that article where LUCENT got a nice contract from Telesp Cell. which was bought by Portugal. So Embratel and Telesp should be doing well in the future. Alright, Here comes a disclaimer. I may be all wrong on all that TBR stuff. gg. We are supposed to get stock and then get paid out what's left over in cash. Nice big mess. But as long it will add up to about 200 in 6 mos. like some forecast, who cares. Right? Maybe Wrong. gg. Now between the PM and the other cpl posts on here, you should stay busy for a while. Let me know what you find out about Embratel in Brazil and if you are buying it now that the 12% up move intrigues you. WCOM is the parent of Embratel. So why buy ahead of time? I am sure what's good for Embratel will be good for MCI/WCOM. Sonny

Sonki. Dell, WLA, TBR and PFE. I guess you not too nervous about our Dell in the last cpl of days? gg. I wanted to write you already yesterday about WLA but did not get around to it. I was wondering why WLA was down yesterday and today. I think it's up a bit now. Did your hear that Heart Bypass surgery may be a thing of the past soon? They have developed a gene therapy that grows replacement blood vessels when clogged. Genentech is working on it and WLA will have a foot in the door by working together with a private company called Genovac (may be spelled wrong). Anyhow, that should be huge for WLA if it comes about. Instead of a Heart bypass they inject your own genes into the site where the clogged artery is and voila - within a cpl of days new blood vessels grow. They already tested this but it will take about 2 years before they know for sure if it works for the long run. PFE. One bullish analyst on PFE mentioned yesterday that PFE is being labeled as the Viagra company when in fact they have something like 9 new drugs in the pipeline. He thinks that PFE is one of the front runners of the Pharmas. Tell this to Merck. gg. But maybe PFE will run again one of these days. TBR. I don't know. It has its direction mixed up. gg. Maybe a lot of investors don't want all those little stocks. It couldn't have anything to do with Brazil. gg. At least IMF package should be coming forth this week. 30 to 49 Bill. sounds like a LOT of money. That's more than half of our surplus. Good thing we don't have to pay for all of it.
