Elwood: The Stanley Cup was called after Lord Stanley who was also Earl Grey - the founder of Earl Grey tea. He was Lord Stanley, Governor of Canada. He was English. He knew about damp squibs.

As a matter of fact (true story) I have drunk Earl Grey tea in the House of Lords tea room as guest of the current Earl Grey, and we were probably sitting right above the spot where Guy Fawkes was discovered - so there! Go on do your worsed with that one.
