Dave, I don't know what your budget is, and also don't know what you mean by "server supporting ADSL is $60", but I do know a couple people who moved up from 56K to 128K ISDN and said the difference was MAJOR and that 128K was adequate. I have 700K cable at $50/mo, and I don't think I have to say how it is...

I know I was frustrated with a regular dial-up--you couldn't trade the fast stocks at all, and had to remove them from your page when they were high volume. This wasn't that easy, since your system would hang and all you could do was close the program with ctrl/alt/del. Then, you might still be in trouble if that same stock was on the page that RT opens to.

Like Tim says, get the fastest you can afford, but even the 256K should be worth it if that's all that's available now. (Note: I was just about to break down and order the VERY expensive 64K ISDN that's available in my area when cable fortuitously appeared).
