Whose plan? My point being that diversity and competitive forces have begun to mold a new "order" based on the fact that there is no unified approach at present to architecturally consider the whole, despite all the best intentions of this heretofore egalitarian state we still regard as the Internet. Who's on first. What's on Second. I don't know's on third. So, who's gurading home plate? The answer is nobody. Indeed, it would be antithetical to the chaotic precepts that have been the foundation of the 'net, and to the "order" that still rules today. And therein may lie the folly of the entire scheme, once things really heat up and get tsunaminously serious. Do you or anyone else here really think that once the big five or six international players have their 'end to end' fabrics in place, like MCIWorldcom and Sprint are now laying in place, that these larger players will be inclined to be as "open and cooperative" with lesser forms of life, if they don't have to?
