Here's the thing: At $2.50/share, you defer income for a $.10/share buyback. Common law says it's not a deferral. You're making some real money. I think what Frank counts on is that anyone who uses an information database like a research library, or this thread, will never do the work themselves. I've been a research librarian for years and sometimes you have to take the patron over to the card catalog because they just can't do it for themselves. Now that the stock is down it's even less likely that anyone will follow an idea. What difference does it make? It makes a lot of difference to the half of us that didn't receive a proxy!
