Tulvio, that's my point. Based on the "Gorilla" nature of this company, I think it deserves the higher PE valuation, but historically, Wall Street does not believe it, so it just won't hold up. In fact, if we get back to an 80 PE, I would probably sell out and wait for a drop.

Tulvio/LB,

First, if you're basing CSCO future price based solely on earnings then you're missing the bigger picture - that the market they are moving into is HUGE!!! Second, if they are successful earnings will accelerate. PE's mean less these days - remember that valuation is a function of future expecations - not current. Next years stock price will be based upon earnings expectations and market opportunities presented to CSCO in 2000. By then broadband delivery to small business and residential customers over DSL and Cable will be VERY real and this will put incredible pressure on infrastructure. Furthermore I expect that Asia will be in the game in a much more significant way and Europe will keep on doing the same.

Make no mistake, current expectations are UNDER optimistic.
