I'm also using Explorer and am having trouble.

I switched to Explorer from Communicator last spring because Explorer stored passwords, something I think about often, a seeming triviality that may permanently have cost Netscape a user.Unfortunately Q's phone problems are of this nature. If you get one of their phones and the connectors don't work, or the plastic cracks, maybe you'll never buy another product.

Has Netscape fixed this? Perhaps they'll get me back.

Has SI been boobey-trapped for Explorer.....:-)..?

FWIW, US West is doing a ton of advertising for their new PCS service. Every ad I've seen, both in print and on TV, prominently shows a Q phone. These are Seattle area papers and TV stations.

I will do a little research on ATI offerings in the area and give some more definitive info tomorrow.

To all - another thought on Bell Atlantic (purportedly) saying that the 800 MHz Q-phone is not working just right (with the Bell Atlantic system).

Maybe it is the fault of the Bell Atlantic system, not Qualcomm's Q-phone ?

Anyone happen to know if a large, Illinois-based telecommunications firm was the one that installed Bell Atlantic's infrastructure ?

Jon.
