Dear Billrider – My comment about stocks shorting needs to be clarified. Shorting a stock that is dropping in value is not illegal, but organizing an effort to purposely drive a stock price down for personal gain without due cause is illegal. I'm surprised that the SEC has not stepped in and questioned Auric Goldfinger about his hundreds of intentional and deliberate shorting efforts posted throughout this site. As for my writing errors, I'm only human – but at least I make the effort to produce clear and easy to understand postings.
