LONG TERM, and objectively, either GERN has discovered something of great value or not. It has either protected its discoveries through appropriate legal or confidentiality agreements, or not. It seems imprudent to invest in the value of the GERN publicity alone, and the challenge is to learn more about the company itself. Is the CEO a hype-meister? For my cookie jar money, it's worth a 6 month investment at $15-25 range, a target of $35-40, and by then we can see what the reality is. Maybe you can buy some covered calls at a decent price. That's the risk we take.

You say that so ...easily...what you forget is that Mom and Pop who buy these stupid stocks when they run like runaway trains are the ones who lose millions over hundreds of thousands of accounts all over our great nation. 1) You dont know a thing about me and it so happens that I have been one of those people who have been burned. I am just trying to play the game and make some money. I was lucky enough to hear about GERN on Thursday pm and got a few hundred shares. For once I made out well, and have been able to recoup a small portion of my losses for the year. I have learned and continue to learn the hard way what stock trading is all about. They lose this money because hype and irrational greed take over and people like you promote losers like this 2) Are you crazy? People like me? Again, you are reaching. I dont 'promote' anything. I bought this stock for obvious reasons. I sold it for obvious reasons. As far as 'irrational greed' goes I think your statement about GERN dropping 10 on Monday is better evidence of that characteristic than anything I have said. You are short the stock so that wish would be an awfully greedy thing to wish for. 3) I dont know much about GERN but from what I have read over ht elast seveal days, GERON is anything but a 'loser'. They have come up with a wonderful medical breakthrough that could change peoples lives. They may reap rewards from certain aspects of this technology sooner than you know. Even ENMD, which was at 12 before their announcement (another mediacl breakthrough that should take a while before significantly impacting the bottom line) has remained in the 20's and is currently over 30.
