Not sure whether WH will allow writing put in IRA accounts. On the regular account, the only thing I notice of significance is one's buying power diminishes quickly because WH will need a potential colateral should one needs to be put the stocks when it comes due. If one has enough liquidity, one should write put rather than going long stocks for long term (a few months at least) investing.
