Remember people, they only recommended a stock dividend. It's up to us to either approve or disapprove the recommendation. I for one will disapprove such a move. I would like to see CREAF buy more into other technologies.

REGARDS,

MONEY

Well, I don't know if CREAF has a DRIP but dividends can actually be viewed in a way as additional share repurchases. Still, this is out of the blue to me.

Just want to throw something out there concerning the dividend. I'm not sure if this applies to Singapore, but in Hong Kong dividends are not taxable as income. I've been invested in a couple of Hong Kong companies that pay quite high dividends because of the tax free status.

Is there a similar tax prefferred status for dividends in Singapore?

Don't know, but it could be part of the motivation.
