Lane,

The 10% margins were mentioned as a potential by Sanjiv in the CC, but Dave Carey, CFO, mentioned that they hadn't yet done budgeting for upcoming year and were not sure what margin to target. Carey in particular was reluctant to agree to the 10% comment Sanjiv made, and I feel like they both wish it hadn't been made. It's was clear that no final decision had been made. In the CC they said they'd come to that conclusion within the next month or two (if memory serves).

What bothered me more than the 10% comment, however, was that they guided revenue estimates down, while at the same time saying business is getting better, competition is a little less, and we're hiring a whole lot of new salespeople. Something wasn't jiving, and I felt like the general tone there was typical of i2's way of leading expectations lower, and then beating them. Everything forward looking was very positive until they starting guiding analyst expectations concerning revs and earnings.

That's my take, and I'm long ITWO.
