Faster, Cheaper, Better.....Replace People with Technology. That's what the PC revolution was all about for Corporate America. But that was all an internal process, the web on the other hand IMO will operate under the same senerio of, Faster, Cheaper, Better with Corporate America. And would accelerate if the Economy, Sales and Corporate Profit Growth were to slow. How does that relate to Large Companies which are dependant on cyclical billing on a monthly basis to a cluster of consumers? I say that those 25 of the top 100 billers who have signed with CheckFree so far...who submit 250 million billings a month at costs estimated between $1 and $3 for the complete bill/payment round trip by paper mail...$250 to 750 Million a MONTH? Would probably just love to motivate their consumer customers to participate in billing over the Web...reducing this cost to about 75 Million a MONTH. And keep in mind this it the TIP of the Ice Berg...by no means is this the SHOW. I'm figuring a 17% adoption rate similar to on line brokerage a few years out.....but then look at how fast things can change. dailynews.yahoo.com
