Gustave,

There were a few people from Knight Ridder and I believe they were featured in one of the sessions in the conference.

Embedded systems was an interesting flavor added to the conference. There were quite a few interesting sessions of incorporating the PSE Pro product line (both Java and C++) into embedded systems as well as windows CE. It was extremely interesting since during one of the sessions I sat right next to a top engineer from Microsoft (I believe heading Microsoft's XML effort) and I asked him if there is any plan in Microsoft to create a database engine that has similar footprint/capabilities to PSE Pro. His answer was No.

I can only interpret it as such that Microsoft would of loved to make significant use of ODI's technology in embedded systems as well as windows CE. I was also informed by ODI's employee that they are working closely with Microsoft on PSE Pro integration.
