Dorine: Thanks for the message about online shopping.

This part of the update was GREAT:

"More and more Americans are buying online and they're happy with the
results," Scott Eckert, director of Dell Online, said in a statement released
Monday. "It's a trend that's taking the country by storm because it's
convenient, easy and secure."

IMHO, DELL will Dominate the e-commerce arena in their industry. They have the first mover advantage and gaining additional momentum all of the time. DELL could become the Michael Jordan of online buying -- especially in the markets that they are already very strong in.

I look forward to hearing Michael and Tom Meredith discuss online sales metrics and trends this Thurday!!

Have a DELLish Day.

-Scott

Dorine,
Hi!!

RE: Respondents said the benefits of online shopping included that they could shop any time of day, the ease of shopping from the comfort of their homes and the fact that they could find anything they wanted through the Internet.

Gosh, that sounds like me...too much to do to just go shopping...why ride through all the traffic...find the dents in your car when you come home....fight customers everywhere...we deal with enough crowds as it is...never was one for shopping...like the convenience of doing it when I feel like it...for instance...looking for a piece of furniture for the PC and the room where I "live"....found a great newly designed computer furniture site....giving myself a Christmas present...aside from buying more Dell that is... :o)

Best, Kemble

Subject: Pictures from SE Dell threaders get-together

Hi Dorine and thread,

See kenbeal.com for the two pictures we took.

Ken Beal, David Weis, and Dorine and Herb Essey ate dinner at Shooters in Ft. Lauderdale tonight, on the water (Oakland Park Blvd. and the Intercoastal). The weather was nice -- it's cooling off at night down here. We all had the snapper (mine was regular, the others were blackened). Excellent food, excellent company. Hope to do it again soon!

Cheers,
KenB
