Legg Mason had an interesting perspective on why WCII strengthened and ARTT weakened late Friday. Seems that there is now speculation that WCOM might purchase WCII, which lessened the possibility (that I don't think exists) that WCII might buy ARTT.

If WCOM were to make a leap into the wireless world, it's hard to believe that they would pay the huge premium for WCII when the ARTT licenses cover essentially the same area and could be had for much less. WCII's only advantages over ARTT are its lead in terms of customers/market development and its much better financing. WCOM would need neither.
