Sounds illegal if commonplace. Will their be a trial to sort it out, or will this forever be just fingerpointing? A trial, I hope.

I would like to see all big campaign contributions be illegal, since they give the monied class and special interest groups like the unions a lock on politics. Every one of them is a bribe, including the ones from unions and the ones from preachers and the ones from millionaires and the ones from corporate officers.

Lets make the maximum donation a hundred bucks and otherwise support the elections with taxes. Then we won't see much more money wasted on political hate ads.

BTW, David, I think the RNC ought to put us on salary as advisors. Remember our discussion Wed and Thur about the Republican leadership? I recommended Steve Largent, JC Watts, and a woman Republican to get out there front and center? Don't know if you caught any of the Sunday political shows, but there they were. Think they're lurking this thread? I was impressed with Jennifer Dunn, hadn't even heard of her before and there she was, this attractive, articulate, fiscal conservative looking more and more appealing as she spoke. What we were witnessing was the "Peter Principle" in action in the Republican leadership. My preference for Speaker would have been Chris Cox over Livingstone, but I think Largent may have a good chance. Let's hope so.
